Summary of content: 

Upper-Lozva Mansi people live in the eastern part of the Northern-Ural Mountains along Upper-Lozva river and its tributaries namely Poma, Táltjá. Their language belongs to the Finno-Ugrian family of languages; its relatives are Hungarian, Finnish and Estonian. They live in an endangered language situation. 19 basic thematic vocabulary lists, such as animals, plants, body parts, dwelling, and hunting, were elicited from 9 Vogul native speakers. Word lists are in xml format; the corresponding sound files are in wav format.
